This 1920's Tudor bungalow had a “remuddled” kitchen which was crowded, inefficient, and had no relation to the backyard or dining room. To resolve these issues, the laundry room was relocated out of the kitchen and the wall removed between the dining room and kitchen to create a secondary eating area. Large floor to ceiling cabinets were added for storage and a side-by-side refrigerator and freezer took over the laundry area. A new french door and sidelight lead to the rear deck while windows and cabinets in character with the traditional residence were selected. With durable granite countertops and marble tile backsplashes, the new kitchen reflects the quality of the original 1920's home. |
