The Franciscan School of Theology

Berkeley, California

The original wood windows at the Franciscan School of Theology were in dire need of replacement.  Desiring a low maintenance, good quality replacement, the Board of Directors selected a fiberglass clad, double-glazed casement window with simulated divided lites.

The windows retained the thin muntin proportions of the traditional single-glazed windows but had the energy-saving qualities of double-insulated glazing.  Furthermore, the new windows required virtually no maintenance, a plus for the Residence Hall.  The window replacement work triggered Title 24 Accessibility improvements and an electronic door opener and accessible restrooms were included to complete the project.
